The "2023 Calendar: Visiting Farmers Who Grow Our Products - Meet Their Faces" has won the Jury Special Award (Numata Sanae Award) at the 74th National Calendar Exhibition. The National Calendar Exhibition, which began in 1950, is an exhibition that aims to contribute to cultural advancement by showcasing excellent calendar printing techniques, planning, and design skills.
The "Growers: Farm Visits with Visible Faces 2023 Calendar" was created to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the release of "Fruit and Vegetables with Visible Faces." Photographer Kentaro Kumon traveled around Japan to photograph 12 farms for his photo book "Growers: Farm Visits with Visible Faces," and re-edited the photos into a calendar that evokes the daily lives of farmers.
