After working for a fertilizer company and a tenugui company, he joined Shifra in 2018.
I first heard of Shifra through "food with a face." But what kind of company is Shifra? I'm fascinated by the fact that it's difficult to describe in a few words. (I'm sure someone else will explain what kind of company it is.)
I have long been interested in food safety and security, and I was thinking about how I could "support food" from a different perspective than a seller or manufacturer, when I came across Shifra.
Until now, the company has handled products such as fertilizer and tenugui towels as a manufacturer and seller, so this is its first time working in the field of food consulting.
But somehow, all of my past experiences have come together, and I find it rewarding and interesting, and I work hard every day.
What I'm currently working on is developing jam.
Strawberry jam and blueberry jam are very familiar products, but they are also very deep.
Before I was put in charge, I thought that jam was synonymous with bread!
Now, I feel that there are limitless possibilities for jam, so I make my own and research it, and eat any jam I come across.
Building on this interest, I am working with retailers and manufacturers to develop new jams.
Food is often associated with memories.
When you eat something, it suddenly brings back memories of the past. You can't forget the taste of something you ate when you were happy or sad.
I want to create products that will surely one day connect people's memories with the foods (products) they work on, and that will make them think the food was delicious, and that will make them want to eat it again, whatever those memories may be. This is the thought that drives my work.
