Japan is facing many food-related issues, particularly the decline and aging of agricultural workers. In response to these current issues, cifra has been promoting the creation of a production and distribution infrastructure through its "Food with a Face" initiative, which allows agricultural producers in Japan to produce with peace of mind for consumers.
In May 2021, the "Face-to-Face Agricultural Products Production and Distribution Promotion Council" will be established as a project to contribute to agricultural production and distribution through "Food with a Face." The four founders are Ito-Yokado Co., Ltd., IY Foods Co., Ltd., cifra Co., Ltd., and Face-to-Face Kitchen Co., Ltd.
Preserving Japanese agriculture and enriching Japanese dining tables.
The "Produce with a Face. Agricultural Products Promotion Council" will begin by raising awareness of this initiative, and will then expand its scope of activities to include expanding producers' sales channels and conducting distribution demonstration experiments.
